Training Scenarios

Overview

These follow various individuals in a short-form situation, where you are given a setup of a situation, and you have to help them make the best choice.

Some situations have multiple parts, others are just one part.

Thinking through what is happening now and what could happen in the future is an important part of metacognition.

And even though each part of the scenario is only a fraction of situations in real life, they represent the smaller tasks that get you towards completely working through a scenario

There are 8 people you will meet in these scenarios, each with vastly different situations, but all of them are dealing with some sort of problem that revolve around metacognition

The following are the specific training scenarios of people you will meet:

Ben (Part 1)

  • He's going to class virtually and wants to help his fellow peers with virtual learning

Hal (Part 1 & 2)

  • He has work, school, and sports and is struggling to keep up with them all

Issac (Part 1 & 2)

  • He's running out of time to complete all of his assignments and is having trouble prioritizing his tasks

Mike (Part 1 & 2)

  • Him and his friend, Jake, are part of a band and has some differences of opinion

Sara (Part 1 & 2)

  • She has a lawn mowing business with her friends and it's not going well

Jordan (Part 1, 2, 3, & 4)

  • She's trying to choose between 2 colleges' programs that are on par with each other

Susan (Part 1)

  • She's a top student at her high school and is looking to maintain her relationships with her teachers but is having trouble with her schedule

Bill (Part 1)

  • He's on the school newspaper and has to deal with the parents
